Voicemail notification
The alert that warns you the moment a voicemail lands — the end of the "let me check my messages" era.
A voicemail notification is the alert issued when a voice message arrives in the box: a badge on the icon, a push on the phone, an SMS or email depending on settings. It replaced the historical ritual — dialing your voicemail number, listening through four messages to reach the fifth.
Its value lies in reaction time: a voicemail notified within the minute can be handled within the hour, and that's where commercial recovery happens. Combined with voicemail transcription, the notification changes the mailbox's status: from an archive pillar reviewed at night to a fast-reaction channel. An unnotified voicemail, by contrast, is just a tape recorder gathering dust.
