Conditional transfer

Forwarding triggered only in certain cases — busy, no-answer, unreachable — call recovery's Swiss knife.

The conditional transfer (or conditional forwarding) sends the call to another destination only when a condition is met: the line is busy, ringing goes unanswered past a delay, the phone is unreachable. Outside these cases, the line behaves normally — you answer, nothing changes. Classic GSM codes: *61 (no answer), *67 (busy), *62 (unreachable), often bundled under a single code.

It's the setting all automated call recovery rests on: during the day, you answer normally; the moment you're on the phone or on a job, the call is forwarded to a service number — where a text goes out or an AI picks up — instead of dying in a busy tone. Its condition of existence is administrative as much as technical: the carrier must allow it on the line, which is worth checking before any automation project. The setting is made once, then works every day without thinking about it.
