Zapier
The no-code automation platform connecting thousands of apps to each other through triggers and actions.
Zapier is a no-code automation platform, born in 2011, connecting several thousand applications to one another: CRMs, calendars, inboxes, spreadsheets, trade tools. Its unit is the "zap": a trigger (an event in one app — a new missed call, a created record) and one or more actions (add a spreadsheet row, send a text, create a calendar event). Users assemble these blocks in a graphical interface without writing a line of code — where yesterday it took a developer and an API.
For a solo operator, Zapier plays a precise role: the glue between telephony and the rest of the tooling. The missed call becomes a CRM record; the booked appointment becomes a calendar event and a team notification. Its limits are known: per-task pricing climbs with volume, some triggers lag by minutes, and a zap grown sprawling is a debugging nightmare. The rule of use: keep Zapier for simple, visible glue, and entrust critical flows — anything touching a client's appointment — to native integrations, faster and easier to audit.
